Ethics and Lack there of

I found this week's discussion on ethical lapses in the United States and across the world very interesting. It sparked my own research to see what else people have justified in the name of money or power. The dehumanizing language used in the memo by the Nazi soldier put into prospective how people can rationalize the horrendous things done to others. Ford, for example, valuing a customer's life as less than the cost of a recall really makes me wonder how these people can lay their head down and sleep at night. The Nazi memo did not surprise me, but I was surprised to learn of people in America also participate in the same acts that have started wars with other countries.
